Despite their works, love and faith and service and patient endurance, and that their latter works exceeded the first, Jesus found fault in the church at Thyatira, namely they tolerated a false teacher who led some of them astray, No amount of love, faith, and service can atone for the presence of sin! Ephesus left their first love; Pergamon’s faith was corrupted, and Thyatira had compromised their beliefs and practices. What was God's response? He gave them time to repent...but did they?
