our story

How it all started...

New Harvest Christian Fellowship began humbly but boldly. In December of 1999, seventeen individuals gathered in a home in Pearland under the leadership of Pastor Keith and Ms. Pam Anderson, united by a shared passion for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. What started as a small gathering quickly became a growing movement.
Within just four months, attendance had grown to 60, prompting a move to Challenger Elementary School.

During this season, every member became a “chairman,” faithfully setting up and taking down chairs and equipment each week. Though challenges were present, this formative time forged deep relationships, strengthened faith, and established the heart of New Harvest—CONNECT - GROW - SERVE.

Expanding the vision...

By December of 2000, God’s provision became unmistakably clear. A church member secured a 5-acre tract of land, opening the door for the construction of a permanent sanctuary. Soon after, another miracle followed as the fellowship gained the financial ability to purchase both the land and the newly built facility.

The blessings continued when an adjoining 5 acres were generously donated, expanding the campus to 10 acres and positioning New Harvest to minister on a greater scale. During this time, the church grew into a thriving, non-denominational congregation firmly rooted in the infallible Word of God. Our guiding conviction remains simple and unwavering:
“If the Bible says it, we believe it; if Scripture does not address it, it is not our focus.”

Today, people of all backgrounds and ethnicities worship together through contemporary music, life-giving preaching, and transformative Bible study. Prayer remains central to all we do, and we believe the presence of God is the most powerful and secure place to be.

Where we're headed...

In September of 2024, Doug Kirkman became Senior Pastor of New Harvest, continuing the church’s legacy while embracing a renewed vision for the future. Alongside his wife, Ms. Gina, Pastor Doug is committed to reaching the local community through personal evangelism, meaningful fellowship, and benevolent outreach—grounded in inspired prayer, anointed preaching, and principled teaching.

The future of New Harvest is bright. Our Pearland campus features a beautiful 300-seat facility located among growing subdivisions filled with people who need to hear the Good News—that God loves them, and so do we.
We invite you to be part of what God is doing as we continue  to Change Lives Through Christ, One Success at a Time.
