The Exodus was when God led His people out so that He could lead them in! Moses became the ultimate tour guide, caretaker, and referee for over a million Israelites traveling through the wilderness, heading toward the Promised Land. Shortly after leaving Egypt, God provided His people with something they desperately needed—structure. They needed religious structure in their lives, and that came by way of a physical structure! The religious structure was the Ten Commandments and laws about altars, the community, servants, the Sabbath, and festivals. The physical structure was the Tabernacle of Moses.
