Solomon, no doubt, caught the spiritual fever from David and truly wanted to build an edifice that would display God’s grandeur and majesty! It was to be a place for the nations…all nations…to come and worship Jehovah. 

Solomon even prayed that foreigners would come, pray, and know God’s name.
