Week 3, “The Soldiers Couldn’t Secure the King,” brings the series to a triumphant climax by showing that even the greatest human power—represented by Rome’s elite guards—was no match for the power of God. The soldiers stood watch over the tomb with strength, discipline, and authority, yet in a single moment, heaven intervened, and they fell powerless before the glory of the resurrection. What was meant to contain Jesus only revealed that He could not be contained. In the same way, whatever forces seem to stand guard over our lives—fear, strongholds, or opposition—are no match for the risen King. The resurrection declares that the victory is already won, and through Christ, we are free to live in that power.
