COVID-19 Re-opening Plan
PARENT AND VOLUNTEER EDITION
The Children’s Ministry at New Harvest strives for excellence in all we do; reopening has been a product of much prayer. The staff of New Harvest has been working diligently to create an environment that is safe for everyone. We want to use the knowledge that God has given us, and err on the side of caution so that we do not needlessly expose anyone to the virus.
**Wellness Policy**
In order to protect everyone to the best of our ability, if you or any person in your household are experiencing the following symptoms, we ask that you please refrain from attending the on-campus services.
COVID-19 symptoms can include:
- fever of 100.4 or greater - headache
- chills - muscle or body aches
- cough - congestion or runny nose
- nausea or vomiting - diarrhea
- sore throat - fatigue
- shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- new loss of taste or smell
If you or someone in your family are experiencing any symptoms listed above we ask that you and your family view the Livestream provided by Pearland New Harvest at home digitally, and not in person until the symptoms have subsided for 14 days or you have a negative Covid test result.
**Kidz Korner Service Times**
The Kidz Korner will hold services for children ages birth – 5th grade during the 10am service. There will be a pre-registration link on our website for you to reserve your child’s spot for EACH Sunday.
**Kidz Korner Room Capacity**
In order to maintain social distancing protocols, we have downsized our maximum capacity for each room. Please note that these limits are set by church staff and will be adhered to for the health and well-being of all involved.
Phase 1 Phase 2 Phase 3
Seedlings (Birth-1yr.) 2 children 3 children Fully open
Sprouts (1yr. – 2yr.) 4 children 6 children Fully open
Bloomers (3yr. – 4yr.) 5 children 8 children Fully open
KlubHouse (K – 4th grade) 10 children 15 children Fully open
*Phase progression is contingent on the capability of containing the spread of Covid-19 and the availability of more volunteers.
**Pre-Registration**
With the limited available spots within the Kidz Korner, each child will have to be pre-registered for EACH Sunday. The link for pre-registration will go LIVE each Wednesday afternoon before the coordinating Sunday being registered for. The link can be found on our website, www.pearlandnewharvest.org, at the top of the Kidz Korner page. If your child is not pre-registered, your child will not be guaranteed a spot in the Kidz Korner.
**Check-In Policy**
Upon entry into the building, each family that has been pre-registered must check-in at the Kidz Korner check-in desk. Please socially distance according to the floor markers in front of the check-in desk.
Each child will have a temperature check before being entered into the check-in system. Any parent that is going to enter the Kidz Korner area must also have a temperature check and is highly recommended to wear a face mask covering the mouth and nose. If any of the family being registered has a temperature of 100.4 or greater the entire family will be asked to refrain from entering the Kidz Korner area.
Each child that has passed the temperature check will receive a sticker with the parent(s) receiving the coordinating parent sticker. For our KlubHouse kids, we ask that parents refrain from walking in with the children. We also highly recommend
(but not require) that the kids in the KlubHouse area wear a mask for the duration of the service. This is great practice for the upcoming school year. For our Bloomers/Sprouts/Seedling kids, we ask that only 1 parent walk the child(ren) in to the Kidz Korner area. Upon completion of the check-in process, the volunteer at check-in will radio to the classrooms that will be receiving children.
To limit the number of people in the Kidz Korner hallway only one family at a time will be allowed through the doors. When the child(ren) are in the classroom and the parent has exited the Kidz Korner area another family will be allowed to enter. Please be
patient with volunteers and other parents as we work through this process together.
